Corn Kebab

This is our first kebab recipe.But here i did not bake it. I just deep fried them. If you have fresh corn and tired of boiling them, then try this simple recipe. It is easy to eat food for toddlers. Lets look for Ingredients :

Ingredients :


Corn - 2
Potato - Boiled 2
Bread Crumbs - 4 breads
Corn Floor - 3 spoons
Onions - 1 chopped
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Mint Leaves - 1/2 cup
Lemon Juice - 2 spoons
Pepper powder - 1/4 spoon
Garam Masala - 1/4 spoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Spoon
Salt - As required
Oil - Deep fry

Procedure:


Coarse grind the corn and squeeze the excess water from corn. Now mix it with all the ingredients except oil.
Heat the oil for deepfry. Now make same balls of the mixture and fry them in medium heat and then to high flame till they turn golden brown color.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.

Rava Dosa

Rava Dosa is a famous South India breakfast.Rava dosa can be prepared instantly with out the need of fermentation. Let's start preparing this easy, tasty and crispy Rava Dosa.

Ingredients :


Sooji Rava - 1 cup
All purpose flour - 1 cup 
Rice flour - 2 cups 
Chopped onions - 1
Green chillies - 4-5 
Chopped Ginger - 1 tbsp 
Chopped coriander - As per needed 
Salt - As per needed 
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tbsp 
Water - 4 cups
Oil - Needed to make dosa

Procedure : 


In a bowl add all the above mentioned ingredients and keep it aside for atleast 30 min(or can be used immediately if needed).Check the consistency of the batter in order to enjoy crispy dosa.
Heat the pan and add some oil to the pan  and pour the batter on the pan, make them just like dosa's. Wait till the dosa gets roasted. Now take out the dosa, and serve it with coconut chutney/Peanut chutney .

Tasty Rava Dosa is ready to eat .

Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji is a famous street food. This is a spicy blend of vegetables in tomato gravy served with pav that is cooked with butter. It is easy to cook and also filling. Check out the recipe .

Ingredients :

Pavs - 4
Butter - 4 spoons
Mixed Veg's finely chopped - 2 cups ( Capsicum, Carrot, Potato, Green Peas, tomatoes) Each one.
Onion - 1 finely chopped
Green Chillies - 3
Cumin Seeds - 1 spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 spoon
Chilli Powder - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As required
Ginger garlic Paste - 1 spoon
Garam Masala powder- 1/4 spoon
Pav Bhaji Masala - 1 spoon
Coriander Leaves - bunch
Lemon - Sliced


Procedure :

Boil the Vegetables till they are soft. Drain out the excess water.
Heat the butter in a large pan, add the cumin seeds, onion , Green Chilli and sauté for 2 minutes. Then, add the prepared chilli-garlic paste and sauté till the onion softens.Add the tomatoes and simmer till the oil separates.
Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.Add the boiled vegetables and mash thoroughly using a masher, adding ½ cup of drained water if required. After the bhaji is mixed well then add coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
Slice each pav into 2 horizontally. Apply a little butter to each side. Heat tava and cook the pav on both sides till the pieces are lightly browned.
Now serve Pav's with Bhaji , Onions, Lemon pieces.
Ready to eat it.

Corn Sandwich

Corn Sandwich Is one the famous street foods in India. It is very simple and delicious . There are many variations in making this. I have followed the simple method in making this with handy ingredients . This goes well during evenings as snacks.. Lets check the Recipe below :

Ingredients :

Fresh Bread - 4 slices
Sweet Corn - 1/2 cup Boiled
Paneer - 1/4 cup
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Onion - 1 finely chopped
Salt - As required
Black Pepper powder - 1/2 spoon


Procedure :

Mix all the ingredients except bread in a bowl.
Take the Sandwich maker and apply the butter to the bread on the top and Spread the mix on two slices of sandwich bread, then close sandwiches with other slices of bread. Put them on the sandwich maker and switch it on. Take them out and serve hot with sause. Easy and Tasty to eat Sandwich is ready.

Cabbage Chutney

Does anybody at your home do not like cabbage?
Are u tired of eating cabbage curry?
No problem!!! Try this tasty and very easy Cabbage Chutney.This Chutney goes well with south Indian breakfast varieties and rice.

Ingredients :

Chopped Cabbage - 1 cup
Chopped Green chillies - 5-6
Tamarind Paste - 1 tbsp
Methi powder - 1/8 tbsp
Cumin powder - 1/8 tbsp
Garlic cloves - 2
Turmeric - A pinch
Salt - As per needed

Temper :
Oil - 4-5  tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Asafoetida - A pinch
Urad dal - 1/4 tbsp
Curry leaves - 4-5

Procedure : 

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.Fry green chillies and keep them aside.In the same pan add chopped cabbage, turmeric and cook them for 15 min by closing the pan with a lid on a medium flame.Later switch off the stove and let it cool.
In a grinder, add green chillies, garlic, tamarind paste, methi powder, cumin powder, cabbage, salt and make a paste.Now take oil in a pan and temper it. Pour the temper in chutney and serve it.

Very easy and tasty Cabbage Chutney is ready to eat .

Corn and Mint Coins

Corn and Mint Coins, one of the perfect tea/coffee time snack.These are very easy to prepare and hardly takes very less time to prepare. Let's start preparing this tasty recipe !!!!

Ingredients :


Sweet Corn - 1 cup
Chopped Mint - 3/4
Green chillies - 2
Ginger chopped - 3/4 spoon
Onion chopped - 1 (Medium size)
Salt - As per needed
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Baking soda - A pinch
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Turmeric - A pinch
Red Chilli powder - 1/4 spoon
Corn Flour - 1 spoon
Rice Flour - 1 spoon
Oil - As per needed

Procedure : 


Take a mixer, add sweet corn, green chillies, ginger, salt, cumin seeds and grind them coarsely. Make sure not to grind them into a fine paste.Now take a bowl, add coarsely grinded paste, chopped mint, onions, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, baking soda and mix it well.Finally take small portion of the mixture, make them in the shape of coins(any desired shape of your wish)and deep fry them till they become golden brown color.

Tasty Corn and Mint Coins are ready to eat.Serve it with sause.

Kaddu Ki Kheer

We are back after a long vacation from India.Here is the most delicious sweet we prepared.
Kaddu Ki Kheer is one of the flavorsome and tradition dessert.The Ingredients we add in this dessert makes it more tasty.Relish the kheer with  different types of nuts.It is very easy to prepare and can be served warm or chilled as classic Indian sweet.

Ingredients :


Whole milk - 4 cups
Grated Bottle gourd - 1 cup
Sabudana - 1/2 cup (Soak it in water for 3 hours)
Cashew powder - 1/4 cup
Pista powder - 1/4 cup
Store bought Khoya/Kalakand - 1/2 cup (Recipe in the website)
Milk maid - 3 tbsp
Cardamom powder - A pinch
Sugar - As per needed
Almonds - 10-12
Custard - 1 tbsp (Mix custard in 3-4 tbsp of milk and keep it aside)
Green color - A pinch (Mix it in 3-4 tbsp of water and keep it aside)

Procedure : 


In a bowl add milk and bring it to boil.Add grated bottle gourd and boil it for atleat 10-15 min.Now add sabudana, cashew, pista powder and stir the mixture well.Let it boil for another 5-10 minutes.Now add Custard powder mixture and stir the mixture well.Add Kalakand/Koya, milk maid and boil it for 5 minutes.Now add almonds, cardamom powder and sugar as per your taste. Keep stirring so that it does not burn at the bottom of the vessel.Finally add green color and stir it well.
Keep it aside or refrigerate it for 1 hour before serving.

Most delicious and yummy dessert Kaddu Ki Kheer is ready to eat.

Pulihora

The moment we think about traditional food, first recipe that clicks to our mind is Pulihora.This is one of the famous and most common recipe prepared during Indian festivals and is given to us in many Indian temples as prasadam.This pulihora can be prepared with tamarind, lemon, raw mangoes etc. So let's start preparing Pulihora by using tamarind.

Ingredients :


Boiled rice - 1 cup
Tamarind paste - 2 tbsp (Refer to Tamarind Paste recipe)
Sesame seeds powder - 1/4 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1/4 tbsp
Black pepper powder - 1/4 tbsp
Salt - As per needed
Turmeric - 1/4 tbsp

Temper :
Oil - 3-4 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Chana dal - 2 tbsp
Peanuts - 3 tbsp
Curry leaves - 4-5
Green chillies - 3
Dry red chillies - 2
Asafoetida - A pinch

Procedure : 


In a bowl add boiled rice and let it cool down completely. Now add 1 tbsp of oil, turmeric and mix the mixture well.Now add tamarind paste and mix it well.
Heat oil in a pan and temper it.Now add the temper mixture to the rice.Add sesame seeds powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder and stir the mixture well.Finally add salt and mix the mixture for one final time.

Very tasty and traditional Pulihora is ready to eat.

Tamarind Paste

Tamarind or Tamarind Paste  is one of the ingredient used in many recipes.The color of tamarind paste depends on the color of tamarind.This easy recipe is prepared once, stored and used many times . Let's start preparing it !!!

Ingredients :


Tamarind - 1 cup
Boiled Water - 2 cups
Salt - As per needed

Temper :
Oil - 6-7 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Curry leaves - 4-5
Chana dal - 1 tbsp
Red chillies - 2-3
Green chillies - 2-3
Turmeric - A pinch

Procedure : 


Take tamarind and soak in boiled water for 30min in a bowl.Later squeeze the juice and keep it aside.Now heat oil in a pan and temper it.Add tamarind paste, salt and let it boil for 30min.Once the oil oozes out turn off the flame and let it cool.
We can make this paste once in a month and store in the refrigerator.We can use this paste for making tamarind rice, sambar, chutneys etc.

Very easy Tamarind Paste is ready to use.

Indo Chinese Veg Rice

Vegetable Rice can be prepared in many ways.Each one of us have a different style in preparing it.Have you ever tried making Indian Vegetable Rice by adding Chinese cuisine  main flavour???
So here comes Indo Chinese Veg Rice which is a combination of Indian and Chinese ingredients.This is the perfect dish for the people who love Indian and Chinese cuisine . Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Boiled Rice - 1 cup
Chopped potato - 1(medium size)
Chopped carrot - 1 (medium size)
Green chillies - 2
Chopped onion - 1 (medium size)
Chopped tomato - 1 (medium size)
Green peas - 1/4 cup
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tbsp
Soya sause - 1 tbsp
Cloves - 2
Red Chilli powder - As per needed
Salt - As per needed
Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Mint - 1/4 cup
Chopped Spring onions - 1/4 cup
Cumin and mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Turmeric - A pinch
Oil - 4-5 tbsp

Procedure : 


Heat oil in a pan.Add cumin and mustard seeds,cloves, green chillies, turmeric, onions and  cook them for few minutes. Add ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell goes away.Add all the vegetables, mint and cook them until they are cooked.Now add soya sause, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and mix it well.Now add boiled rice and stir the mixture well so that the rice is evenly mixed. Finally garnish it with coriander and spring onions leaves.

Very tasty Indo Chinese Veg Rice is ready to eat.
