Aloo Bonda

Aloo Bonda is a classic tea/coffee time snack.If you are looking for any tasty snack with less oil absorption, try this Aloo Bonda in Appe pan . Let's start preparing this easy and tasty Aloo Bonda in appe pan !!!

Ingredients :


Potatoes - 3 (Boiled, Peeled and Mashed)
Green chilli ginger paste - 1.5 spoons
Chopped onions - 1
Dhaniya Powder - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Coriander leaves - 2 spoons
Turmeric - A pinch
Besan flour - 8 spoons
Rice flour - 2 spoons
Red Chilli powder - 1 spoon
Oil - As per needed

Procedure :


Heat oil in a pan. Add turmeric, cumin seeds, ginger green chilli paste, onions and fry them for 3-4 min.Now add mashes potato, dhaniya powder, salt and mix it well.Cook the mixture for 4-5 min and finally garnish it with coriander leaves. Switch off the flame and let it cool.Make small balls of the mixture and keep it aside.
Now in a bowl, add besan, rice flour, red chilli powder, salt and water to make a thick batter.Make sure that the batter should be like bhajji batter.Now take appe pan, and pour 1/4 spoon of oil in each portions.Mean while take the balls and dip in the batter and put in the one portion of the pan.Repeat the process for all the balls.Turn them one by one slowly after they are fried on one side.Fry them on both sides and take them to oil draining paper.
Serve hot with rice.

Tasty Aloo Bonda  is ready to eat. Serve hot with sause.

Mint Vada

Vada is a famous South Indian recipe.The taste of vada varies depending upon the type of the ingredients we add.Mint Vada is one of the delicious recipe where we can enjoy the taste of vada along with the unique taste of mint. So let's start preparing it !!!

Ingredients :


Chana dal - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2
Ginger chopped - 3/4 spoon
Mint chopped - 3/4 cup
Salt - As per needed
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Oil - As per needed

Procedure : 


Soak chana dal for 4 hours.Now in a mixer, add chana dal, green chillies, ginger, salt and grind them coarsely. Make sure not to grind them into a fine paste.Now take a bowl, add coarsely grinded paste, chopped mint, cumin seeds and mix it well.Finally take small portion of the mixture, press them like vada's and deep fry them till they become golden brown color.

Very tasty Mint Vada is ready to eat.Serve it with sause.

Rajma Chawal

Rajma Chawal is a delicious Punjabi recipe which is cooked with red kidney beans and served it with hot steaming rice.Rajma is a good source for proteins and iron.This is one of the comfortable recipe prepared at home.Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Rajma - 1 cup
Onion - 1 ( medium size )
Tomato - 2
Green chillies - 2-3
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 spoon
Turmeric - A pinch
Coriander powder - 1/2 spoon
Garam masala - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Red Chilli powder - 1/2 spoon
Coriander leaves - 2 spoons
Oil - 2spoons

Procedure :


Soak rajma overnight.Next morning pressure cook them with 3 cups of water by adding salt.Make sure not to over cook rajma and should be as per the image shown.Preserve the drained water from rajma.
In a pan heat oil.Add onions, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, turmeric and saute them for few minutes. Now add coriander powder, garam masala, salt, red chilli powder and mix well.Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.Now add rajma, preserved water and salt if needed.Let it cook for 20 minutes on a medium flame.Finally add coriander and switch off the flame.
 
Serve hot with rice.

3-IN-ONE Laddu

The moment we think of sweet, first sweet comes into our mind is Laddu.Laddu is the most yummy and common sweet found in any functions or parties.If you want to spend less time for making a tasty sweet, 3-IN-ONE Laddu is the best option.It takes very less time and it is very easy to make . Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Urad dal - 1/2 cup
Moong dal - 1/4 cup
Rice - 1 spoon
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Powdered sugar - 1/2 (Varies depending on your taste)

Procedure : 


Dry roast urad dal, moong dal and rice on medium heat till they turn into golden brown color.Keep it aside and let it cool down.
Now grind urad dal, moong dal, rice into a coarse powder.In a bowl, add the coarse powder, powdered sugar and stir it well.Now heat the ghee, add into the mixture and mix well.Finally check whether you are able to make laddu.If you are not able to make laddu, add some more hot ghee and try again.

Very tasty and yummy 3 - IN - ONE Laddu is ready to eat.

Spinach Paratha

Paratha is an Indian Flat Bread which is often made for breakfast or dinner.
There are many varieties of Paratha's and each of them have a unique taste.Spinach Paratha, which looks colorful and tasty to bite . Let's start preparing it !!!

Ingredients :


Wheat flour - 2 cups ( 1.5 Cup for dough and 1/2 cup for dusting)
Spinach chopped - 3/4 cup
Chopped Ginger - 1/2 spoon
Garlic cloves - 3
Chopped chilli - 3
Chopped coriander - 2 spoons
Oil - 3 spoons
Salt - As per needed
Water - As per needed

Procedure :


Add all the ingredients except wheat flour to grinder and make into a smooth paste. Add salt while making a paste.
In a bowl add wheat flour, salt, 2 spoons of oil and mix well.Add spinach paste, water and knead the dough . Remember, the dough should be very soft. Rest the dough for 1 hour.Later start making Paratha's.Heat the oil on tawa. Finally place the paratha and fry it on both sides.
Tasty Spinach Paratha is ready to eat.
Serve hot with Masala Yogurt.

Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is one of the Indo Chinese recipe. This is the famous starter found in any party.Here the deep fried cauliflower is tossed in sweet, spicy and sour sauses. Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Cauliflower - 1 cup
Corn flour - 1/2 cup
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Ginger green chilli paste - 1 spoon
Onions chopped - 3 spoons
Ginger chopped - 3 spoons
Garlic chopped - 3 spoons
Tomato sause - 3 spoons
Chilli sause(red/green) - 2 spoons
Soya sause - 3 spoons
Vinegar - 1 spoon
Green chillies chopped - 2-3
Salt - 1/2 spoon
Water - 1/2 cup
Chopped Coriander - 1/4 cup
Spring onions - 1/4 cup

Procedure : 


Make batter with corn flour and all purpose flour.Add salt, ginger green chilli paste to the batter.Dip the cauliflower pieces into the batter and deep fry them.

PREARING SAUSE :
Heat oil in the pan.Add Garlic, Ginger, chopped green chilles. Cook the mixture for 3-4 min.Add vinegar, tomato, Chilli and soya sause.Add water and pinch of salt to the mixture.Now add the fried cauliflower pieces to the above sauce and cook it for 5-6 min.Finally add some chopped onions, coriander leaves and spring onions.

Yummy Cauliflower Manchurian is ready to eat.

Veg Spring Rolls

Spring roll is a common and delicious dish from the streets of China.It is the perfect finger food in any parties or gathering. The taste of spring rolls made up of fresh vegetables is very delicious,  that you cannot stop by eating just one roll.Let's start preparing Vegetable Spring Rolls !!!

Ingredients :


Cabbage - 1 cup
Capsicum - 1/2 cup (cut length wise)
Carrots - 1/2 cup ( cut length wise)
Onions - 3/4 cup
Ginger chilli paste - 1 spoon
Pepper powder - 1/4 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Oil - As per needed for deep fry
Spring Roll Sheets - As per needed
All purpose flour paste - 2 spoons

Procedure : 


Heat a tablespoon of oil in a wok on high flame.Add green chilli paste, cabbage, carrots, onions and capsicum.Saute the vegetables on high heat, until they are lightly softened.Add salt and black pepper in order to get Indian flavour. Finally transfer the mixture to another bowl and let it cool  completely.

Place the square spring roll wrapper on a flat surface.Apply a little flour paste along the edges of the wrapper.Place a tablespoon of filling at one corner/edge of the wrapper.Fold in from the filled c I Riner and begin rolling until you reach the center.At this stage, apply flour paste again on the edges and roll until you reach the end.Make sure the edges are sealed well.The flour paste is important as it helps to seal the spring rolls, so they don't open when deep fried.Repeat the process and proceed to make the rest of spring rolls.

Preheat the oil for deep frying.Add in few rolls at a time and deep fry on a medium heat until they turn into golden brown color.

Serve the Vegetable Spring Rolls as party snack along with sweet and spicy chilli sause.

Tomato Broccoli Chutney

Broccoli is a green plant in Cabbage family and is a good source of Vitamins and minerals.It helps in reducing cholesterol and keeps us healthy.Tomato Broccoli Chutney is one of the delicious and tasty recipe that can be eaten by any age group as Broccoli has enormous health benefits . Ingredients :


Chopped Tomatoes - 1 cup
Chopped Broccoli - 1 cup
Coriander powder - 1 spoon
Garlic clove - 1
Green chillies - 3
Peanuts - 3 spoons
Salt - As per needed

Temper  :
Oil - 3 spoons
Mustard seeds - 1 Spoon
Cumin seeds - 1/2 spoon
Asafoetida - a pinch

Procedure : 


Heat oil in a pan.Add tomatoes, broccoli and cook them for few minutes,  keep them aside.Now again add oil, fry peanuts, green chillies and keep them aside.In a grinder add tomatoes, green chillies, broccoli, peanuts, garlic, coriander powder, salt and grind into a fine paste.Finally temper and add into the chutney.

Very tasty Tomato Broccoli Chutney is ready to serve.

Goes well with rice, roti and dosa.

Dry Fruits Kulfi

As summer is starting everyone must be planning to have some ice creams or kulfi. So why not we try home made kulfi and surprise the family this summer and for sure everyone likes it..So here comes the recipe of Dry Fruits Kulfi.

Ingredients :


Milk - 1 Litre
Mixed Dry Fruits - 3 spoons
Cardamom powder - 1/4 spoon
Sugar - 3/4  cup
Corn flour - 1.5 spoons
Kulfi mould - 1

Procedure : 


First of all, soak dry fruits (badam, cashew nuts, pista) in warm water for 25min.Later on peel the skin of badam. Grind the dry fruits by adding milk into a fine paste.

In a pan add milk (1 litre) and boil till the level of milk decreases to half (1/2 litre).Once the milk is boiled, add the dry fruits paste and stir well, so that the bottom of the vessel don't burn.Now add cardamom powder, sugar to the milk and mix well.After the sugar is dissolved switch off the stove and add corn flour mixture (dissolve 1.5 spoon of corn flour in water) to it and mix well.Let it cool down.Now pour the mixture into kulfi moulds and freeze them over night.

Capsicum Aloo Paneer

Ingredients :


Capsicum - 1 cup
Aloo - 1 ( Boiled and Peeled)
Paneer cubes - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1
Coriander powder - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Red Chilli powder - 1/2 spoon
Turmeric - A pinch
Coriander leaves - 2 spoons
Temper :
Oil - 2 spoons
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
Curry leaves - 2-3

Procedure :


Heat oil in a pan and temper it.Add onions and saute it.Now add capsicum and cook for 5 min.Add paneer, Aloo and cook for 10 min.Once everything is cooked, add coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, coriander leaves and stir the mixture well.Finally add chopped coriander leaves.
Tasty Capsicum Aloo Paneer is ready to eat. Goes well with roti or rice.

Veg Handi

Cooking the vegetables in smooth and creamy cashew nut put tastes delicious. Veg Handi is one of such recipe, which is a famous restaurant dish.It takes a bit time, but the end result is awesome.Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Chopped Carrots - 1/8 cup
Chopped Beans - 1/8 cup
Chopped Aloo - 1/4 cup
Green peas - 1/8 cup
Cauliflower - 1/4 cup
Chopped Onion - 1
Chopped Tomato - 1
Green chillies - 2
Cashew paste - 3/4 cup(Soak cashews in water for 20 min before making paste)
Curd - 1spoon
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 spoon
Red Chilli powder - As per needed
Salt - As per needed
Turmeric - A pinch
Kasuri methi - 1 spoon
Garam masala - 1/2 spoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 spoon
Bay leaf - 2
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 2
Butter/ghee - 2-3 spoons
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Water - 1 cup

Procedure : 


First of all, steam all the vegetables and keep them aside.

Heat ghee/butter in a pan.Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, onions and cook until the onions become golden brown color.Add ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell goes away.Add tomatoes, green chillies and cook until they become soft.Now add turmeric, mint leaves, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cashew paste, curd and cook until the oil oozes out. Now add kasuri methi, garam masala, salt, water and cook until the gravy becomes thick.Now add all the vegetables and cook for at least 3-4 min.Finally garnish it with coriander leaves.
 
Tasty Veg Handi is ready to eat.Goes well with biryani or roti.

Spring Onion Besan Curry

Either in Chinese or Continental recipe, a common vegetable found is Spring Onion.Spring Onions, also known as scallions or green onions onions, contain a wide variety of health-enhancing compounds like vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals. We can use them raw in salads or cook them with other vegetables in stir-fries or sautes for an extra boost of nutrition.

Spring Onion Besan Curry is a simple recipe which takes very less time to Prepare . Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Spring onions - 1.5 Cup
Green chillies - 2
Red Chilli powder - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Besan - 4-5 spoons
Coriander leaves - 1 spoon
Jeera - 1/4 spoon
Urad dal - 1 spoon
Turmeric - A pinch
Oil - 2-3 spoons

Procedure : 


Heat oil in a pan.Add jeera, turmeric, urad dal, white part(onion present at the end) of the chopped spring onions, green chillies and saute them for 1-2min.Now add green part of chopped spring onions and cook them for 7-8 min.Later add salt, red chilli powder and stir the mixture well.Now add besan and cook the mixture until the raw smell of besan goes away.Finally add chopped coriander leaves.
 
Tasty Spring Onion Besan Curry is ready to eat.Goes well with rice or roti.

Punugulu

Punugulu is one of the common street food in SouthIndia.Punugulu can be prepared with different types of batter.The taste of each type differs from others.
If you are bored of eating Idly's, try punugulu with Idly batter.It is very easy and simple to prepare . Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Idly batter - 2 cups
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Green Chillies - 4-5
Onion - 1
Cumin seeds -1/4 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Baking soda - A pinch
Curry leaves - 3-4

Procedure : 

 
In a bowl add Idly batter, rice flour, all purpose flour, onions, green chillies, curry leaves, cumin seeds, salt, baking soda and mix them well.Keep it aside for almost 8-9 hours (over night).
Heat oil in kadai.Shape the batter to round balls with fingers and drop them in hot oil.Finally deep fry them till they turn into golden color.

Tasty punugulu is ready to eat.

Serve it with coconut chutney.

Quinoa Upma

Looking for high fiber food???
So here comes the recipe using Quinoa.Quinoa is considered as world's "super grain" or "super food".It is loaded with proteins, fiber and minerals, but does not contain any gluten.This grain cannot be compared with anyother grains, as it has very high health benefits.For those who wants to have a balanced diet follow this recipe and incorporate it in your diets!!!

Ingredients :


Quinoa - 1 cup
Ginger chopped - 2 spoons
Carrot chopped - 1
Green peas - 1/4 cup
Onion chopped - 1
Green chillies - 3
Peanuts - 1/4 cup (soak in water for 10-15 min before using)
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Salt - As per needed
Water - 2 cups

Temper :

Olive oil - 2-3  spoons
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon

Procedure : 


Heat oil in a pan and temper it.Add onions, ginger, green chillies, green peas, peanuts, carrot and fry them for 4-5 min.Add water, salt and bring it to boil.Add quinoa and stir the mixture well.Once the quinoa is cooked completely add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.

Very healthy and tasty Quinoa Upma is ready to eat.

Serve it with coconut chutney or raita.

Lasooni Methi Paneer

We come across many recipes, but taste of some recipes cannot be replaced with any other.Lasooni Methi Paneer is one among them, where we get the taste of garlic, methi and paneer in one dish.
Lasooni Methi Paneer is very easy to prepare and goes well with rotis and naans . Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Paneer cubes - 3/4 cup
Garlic - 10 pods
Onion - 1 (Small size)
Tomato - 1/2 (Medium size)
Green chillies - 2-3
Kasuri methi - 2 spoons
Garam masala - 1/2 spoon
Turmeric - 1/4 spoon
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Fresh Curd - 1/2 cup
Salt - As per needed
Water - 1/2 cup
Oil - 3 spoons
Butter - 2 spoons

Procedure : 


Heat 1 spoon oil in a pan.Fry paneer cubes until they turn into golden brown color and keep them aside.

Heat oil and butter in a pan.Add cumin seeds, chopped garlic , onions and cook until the raw smell goes away.Add tomatoes, green chillies and cook it for another 2min.Now blend the sauted mixture by adding water if needed.
Heat oil in a pan.Add the blended mixture and cook until the oil oozes out.Add curd, water, garam masala, salt, kasuri methi and cook it for 3-4 min.Finally add fried paneer cubes and cook it for 2-3 min.

Delicious Lasooni Methi Paneer is ready to eat.

Pongal

Pongal is a traditional South Indian dish.Pongal is the most simplest and easiest breakfast recipe. This tasty recipe can be prepared at home which takes very less time.So let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Rice - 1 cup
Moong dal - 1/4 cup
Black Pepper - 5-6
Green chillies - 2-3
Cashews - 7-8
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Asafoetida - a pinch
Curry leaves - 2-3
Ghee - 3-4 spoons
Salt - As per needed
Water - 5 cups

Procedure : 


Dry roast the moong dal for 2-3 min and keep it aside.

Heat  ghee in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, green chillies, black pepper, cashews and fry for 1 min.Now add rice, roasted moong dal, 5 cups of water and salt. Finally close the lid and pressure cook it for 3 whistles.

Very tasty and traditional Pongal is ready to eat. Serve it with coconut chutney.

Black Eyed Peas (Lobia) Masala

Black Eyed Peas is very well known as Lobia.These seeds are very good for health, reduces cholesterol levels and rich in anti oxidants.

Black Eyed Peas (Lobia) - 1 cup
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Green chillies - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 spoon
Cashew nut paste - 1/2 cup
Garam masala - 1/2 spoon
Red Chilli powder - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
Turmeric - 1/4 spoon
Oil - 3-4 spoons

Procedure : 


Soak black eyed peas overnight.Drain them and pressure cook it for 2 whistles. Store the water which is left over after pressure cooking.

Heat the oil in a pan.Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric, onions, green chillies,  ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell goes away.Add tomatoes and cook until they become soft.Add cashew paste, garam masala, red chilli powder, salt and cook until the oil oozes out. Now add the water which is left over after boiling the seeds and cook for 3-4 min.Add the boiled black eyed peas (lobia) and cook it for few more minutes. Finally add chopped coriander leaves.

Tasty Black Eyed Peas Masala is ready to eat.

Aloo Palak

Spinach is one of famous leafy vegetable in many countries. Having leafy vegetable twice or thrice in a week is very good for health. Spinach is rich source for vitamins and anti oxidants.
Aloo Palak, which goes well with rotis and naans is very easy to prepare . Let's start preparing it !!!!

Ingredients :


Spinach - 2 cups
Potato - 1 (Boiled and peeled)
Onion chopped - 1
Tomato chopped - 1
Green chillies - 2-3
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 spoon
Dhaniya powder - 1/4 spoon
Garam masala - 1 spoon
Salt - As per needed
Bay leaf - 2
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 2
Turmeric - 1/4 spoon
Kasuri methi - 1/2 spoon
Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Oil - 3-4 spoons
Ghee - 1-2 spoon

Procedure : 


Blanching Spinach :

In a bowl, boil 2 cups of water by adding salt.Switch off stove and add spinach,  blanch them in water for 3-4 min.Drain them and soak in cool water for 1-2 min.Again drain the spinach and keep it aside.Now make a smooth puree of spinach, green chillies and keep it aside.

Heat the oil and ghee in a pan.Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves. Add onions, ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell goes away.Add tomatoes and cook until they become soft.Now add spinach puree, 1/2 cup water and cook until the oil oozes out. Add garam masala, kasuri methi, salt.Finally add boiled potato and cook it for 3-4 min.

Tasty and spicy Aloo Palak is ready to eat.
