So here comes the recipe using Quinoa.Quinoa is considered as world's "super grain" or "super food".It is loaded with proteins, fiber and minerals, but does not contain any gluten.This grain cannot be compared with anyother grains, as it has very high health benefits.For those who wants to have a balanced diet follow this recipe and incorporate it in your diets!!!
Ingredients :
Quinoa - 1 cup
Ginger chopped - 2 spoons
Carrot chopped - 1
Green peas - 1/4 cup
Onion chopped - 1
Green chillies - 3
Peanuts - 1/4 cup (soak in water for 10-15 min before using)
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Salt - As per needed
Water - 2 cups
Temper :
Olive oil - 2-3 spoonsCumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
Procedure :
Heat oil in a pan and temper it.Add onions, ginger, green chillies, green peas, peanuts, carrot and fry them for 4-5 min.Add water, salt and bring it to boil.Add quinoa and stir the mixture well.Once the quinoa is cooked completely add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
Very healthy and tasty Quinoa Upma is ready to eat.
Serve it with coconut chutney or raita.
